Council Meeting held on Dec 5th 1905
Present Miss Bulley (chair), Miss Margaret Ashton, Mrs. Ashwell Cooke, Mrs. Bennett, Miss Emily Cox, Miss Reilly (Telephonists), Miss Littlewood (Sewing Machinists), Mr. H.V.Herford, Mr. Hughes (Leather Workers), Mrs. O. M.Aldridge (Secretary).
Apologies. Apologies for non attendance from Mrs.Welsh, Miss Crompton & Mr. G. D. Kelley.
Minutes. Minutes of last meeting were read & passed.
Sub Committe Minutes. Sub-Committee Minutes were read by Miss Emily Cox. The first business was discussion of the proposal to change date of meeting, it being impossible for several members to attend on Tuesday evening. Resolved that the next meeting be held on the evening first Wednesday as an experiment.
Arrangements for Annual Meeting were next discussed.The Secretary being instructed to ask Mr. Johnston to make enquiries for obtaining the use of the Lord Mayor’s Parlour for date about the second week in February.
A list of possible speakers was suggested & the Secretary was instructed to write. The Treasurer then submitted the monthly financial report.
The Secretary reported progress of the Unions connected with the Council & question of general organisation was discussed.
